Custard in the pan, cooling, cooling
Logs in the fire, crumbling, crumbling
Infant on the rug, drooling, drooling
Rooftop primed with snow,
Sprinkled brown leaves, like
Shavings of chocolate, on vanilla ice cream
The world is new, and remade
Every day
Fashioned;
Threshed out, by the tools
