I will be the unpopular voice in the room. We’re dealing with psychopaths who will NEVER respect anyone else, listen to reason, or consider logic that doesn’t work in their favor.
“Violence” is what perpetrators do. It’s why we have police and military, to protect us against violent people.
“Force,” even deadly force, is what we use to stop violence against ourselves, our families, neighbors, and our country.
What happens when the people at the highest levels of government are themselves violent, selfish, and sociopathic?
When the politicians who are supposed to represent you have no respect for human rights, the Constitution, due process, habeas corpus, or the law of the land?
What then?
Do we roll over and refuse to protect ourselves? Do we refuse to defend our neighbors, families, children, livelihoods, freedoms, or nation?
Do we erroneously cling to our failure to distinguish between force and violence?
We are like children who, having never seen a chicken killed and plucked, sit at the table and eat, calling it delicious.
But upon witnessing the act of killing the bird, we recoil in horror, chastising the one who did the deed, calling them a brute.
But when they stop, and there is no fresh fried chicken on the table for our supper, we moan and complain.
The people of Ukraine, civilians, immediately began training in military tactics when they learned that Russia was preparing to invade.
The United States of America is a nation born of rebellion. It was not a “violent” revolution, but a courageous act of self-defense.
The Founders knew King George was a tyrant and cared nothing for their welfare. They knew that no one would come along and save them.
They knew that if they did not stand for themselves, no one would stand for them, and they would be ground beneath the boot heel of tyranny.
The courts are buying you some time. However, that’s the extent of their power. The time they are buying you is time you are wasting.
The reason the regime is not making more fuss about the “losses” in court is simple:
They have already won the biggest court battle, but they did so without technically winning.
They know they don’t have to return anyone from El Salvador because no one will make them do it.
They don’t have to stop abducting people off the streets, even full citizens, because no one is going to force them to stop.
You are dealing with sociopaths. They are the equivalent of serial killers in three-piece suits. They only speak the language of violence.
They only respond to the language of force. Continuing to state your case verbally is ridiculous. They already know they’re wrong; they DON’T CARE.
We already know they are wrong; we don’t need to hear it seven hundred sixty-three times.
The only people who can save the American people are the American people.
If you need a model, use the neighborhood watch of Lincoln Heights, OH. They understood the assignment.
They are the Black community, and they have never been able to naively expect that someone in uniform, or an expensive suit, would come along and protect them.
Like the people of Ukraine, they knew they must stand for themselves.
Despite being the “more educated” party, Liberals, Democrats, and Progressives seem to be woefully ignorant of history.
Our present moment is NOT parallel to the Civil Rights movement.
The beautiful strategies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi are impractical in this current state of American affairs.
The opposite of the Civil Rights movement was merely preserving the status quo.
It wasn’t about the total subjugation of every single American citizen who is not already a billionaire.
Therefore, it is not accurate or wise to assume that “non-violent” forms of protest will protect the people of this country from a violent dictator.
We have already witnessed them snatching people off the streets and sending them to foreign prisons, where standards are well outside the acceptable standards of the Geneva Conventions.
Then, we witnessed two dictators sit in the Oval Office and laugh at all of us. They cracked jokes about “homegrown criminals.”
Each of them smirking as they said, “I can’t do anything about it. Can you?” And the other responds, “Who, me? No. I don’t have the power to do that!”
They’re mocking you because you allow them to.
They’re the schoolyard bullies who never learn. That is, they don’t learn until some new kid they pick on turns out to be tougher than they are, and unwilling to put up with them.
When that new kid thoroughly whips their punk asses, they slink back under the rocks they crawled out from beneath.
But they will not retreat one single moment sooner than that. Bullies must always be physically put in their place.
The only exception is when a strong disciplinarian teacher or principal steps in and ends the conflict.
But our Congress, Supreme Court, State governors, and most of our mayors have proven that they are not up to the job.
We need wartime leadership, leaders who are willing to take bold steps, such as calling out the National Guard to deter ICE, instructing State Police to protect every citizen and legal immigrant, or face termination.
Steps are needed such as governors and mayors allowing and encouraging citizens to organize neighborhood watch groups like the one in Lincoln Heights, Ohio.⠀
Local officials should not only be encouraging this, they should be funding it and overseeing training, by bringing in former military personnel and law enforcement experts.
Such experts can teach citizens how to be safe and proficient with firearms, and how to de-escalate conflicts when possible.
But they can also teach them how to use force when necessary, using the least drastic measures necessary.
I consider it absolutely essential that we be greatly expanding access to trauma first aid courses, such as TECC. That’s Tactical Emergency Casualty Care.
If citizens don’t end up shooting someone who they view as a kidnapper, then certainly we still run the risk that one of these fake, cosplay ICE agents ends up seriously harming someone through their complete lack of training, experience, or integrity.
There should be at least one person on every city block who is certified in trauma medicine, or at least familiar with it.
The alternative is not pretty, citizenry, full of pure, unbridled rage, rising up in small, unofficial vigilante groups and causing chaos and destruction.
It’s only a matter of time before this occurs. Setting up a series of dominoes in a line and tipping the first one denotes a predictable outcome, not a wildly speculative slippery slope fallacy. Seeing how such events will soon begin to take shape is merely common sense.
Local governments could easily take genuinely effective action by channeling the rage of the people into effective safe training of local militias, instilling in them the sense of duty that would constrain them against making rash decisions.
But someone must stand. The courts are doing their best, but they have no real teeth.
However, Democrats will likely not take the initiative and do these things. I expect no such bravery from any of them.
So, I beseech each and every person who stands against this tyrannical fascist regime to do it themselves.
Be safe. Be responsible. But be fearless and be determined.
Responsible citizenship behooves us to be proactive and protect our neighbors, our communities, and our freedoms.
The sycophants in Congress are loving their new levels of power, as well as the occasional extreme profits of the president’s insider trading schemes. They will not budge from their shyster positions of extreme privilege.
Nothing about this regime’s actions over the last hundred days says “respect for democracy and democratic freedoms.”
To believe that they will take away your due process and rob you of your right of habeas corpus, but that they will allow you to have free and fair elections is the height of naïveté.
To think that they will illegally pitch autos on the White House lawn, but will not rig elections is dumb.
You are watching them offer influence over US government decisions to foreign nationals through contributions to an illegal bitcoin account. To think they are not planning to jail anyone who speaks out is just plain stupid.
They’re already in the process of rigging future elections, so they will appear to have integrity on the surface, but will have nothing underneath.
If you cannot bring yourself to believe this, then either you are gullible, or the president truly is 6’ 3” tall.
The military is bound by oath not to interfere in civilian politics, even when the politicians are trampling on the Constitution.
Unless the military forgets their oath, unless they fire on the people or unlawfully arrest them, then they are the only blameless party in all of this, so far.
Every train of thought leads
Until you stand for yourself, America, your situation will deteriorate daily.
I repeat, why would they take away your rights of due process and habeas corpus, unless they intend to subject you to terrible things?
Put yourself in this hypothetical situation. Say your young child was walking down the street, and a pedophile tried to abduct them.
If a full-grown adult were standing there when it happened, would you accept anything less than their one hundred percent effort to stop the abduction?
I doubt it.
I’m willing to bet that if you saw the video played back and saw that adult beat the hell out of that would-be attacker, you would shower the defender with loving, thank-you praise and probably offers of money, food, friendship, etc.
You would tell the story of that brave defender for the rest of your life.
But if the video showed you that this person merely stood by and shouted at the abductor, I’m willing to bet that you would be furious.
You might even go so far as to physically attack that person yourself, screaming at them, “Why didn’t you do more to stop them?!”
Well, guess what.
This fascist regime IS abducting people off the streets of America, and you and I are merely standing by and watching, and consoling ourselves that we are doing enough… because we rage-posted about it online.
But I am asking you right now, in the name of whatever you might believe in, why are you not doing more to stop it?
Whether you believe in some deity, the Constitution, your country, basic decency, or just the love of your family, why are you not throwing yourself physically between the innocent and their attackers?
I say to you, no, you have not done enough. You have not done nearly enough. You have not even begun to think about doing enough.
Until you are willing to fight tooth and nail to defend your neighbors, you forfeit the right to complain about anything that this regime has taken from you.
You’re not doing enough until you are willing to show the fierceness of a mother bear defending her cubs.
You must be willing to extend a mother bear’s fierceness beyond your cubs and extend that circle of protection to your neighbor’s cubs.
It does not matter that your neighbor is an immigrant. It does not matter that you do not even know your neighbor’s name.
If you would call yourself an American, then you will get off of your delicate little ass and throw yourself in between that immigrant or his wife or his child and their would-be abductors.
You will not allow yourself the opportunity to hesitate and tell yourself, “Oh, but I could go to prison! I could get hurt or even killed!”
You will not coddle yourself with selfish thoughts such as, “But then who would take care of my children?”
We are either a tribe or we are a random bunch of strangers.
If you will not defend your neighbor or your neighbor’s family, then you forfeit the right to complain when others will not defend you or yours.
To hell with all your rage-posting. Screw your phone calls, emails, and letters to corrupt politicians who already know good and goddamn well what you want and need.
I don’t care how many protests you marched in. If you are not willing to risk life and limb, then I spit on your protest sign.
Fuck your stupid boycotts, unless you are willing to boycott AND throw yourself in harm’s way to defend another American from Nazis.
If you’re willing to do both, then we can be friends.
There’s a video going around about how right-wing media is successful because they offer people easy answers.
I have no problem with the video or what the people in it are saying. I think they’re correct.
You know what else is an easy answer? The easiest answer of all is the one that we so desperately want and need to hear:
“Peaceful Resistance is the way!”
Peaceful Resistance Is Surrender
It’s easy because it involves very little effort. It’s simple things like boycotting specific companies, calling (corrupt) politicians, attending marches, or organizing a national strike that will be a drop in the profit bucket for oligarchs who already have more money than God.
Peaceful resistance is easy because it requires no changes in our typical, day-to-day thinking of “Be kind.” And the “Be kind” way is how I strive to live, too.
But when someone is literally kidnapping your neighbors and sending innocent people to the most horrible prison on earth (that we know of), is saying, “We need to remain peaceful!” really still the kindest thing to do?
Really?
Does that help any of the families who have had their loved ones abducted? If your friends or family members had been stolen, would you want to hear about more peaceful protests?
Or would you want to see someone gearing up like goddamn Delta Force, armed to the teeth, ready to go get them back at any cost?
Unless you genuinely placed your real-life loved ones into that hypothetical scenario, and then really thought it through, you won’t answer the question honestly.
Change of Venue
But that would require letting go of some of our preconceived notions about how the world works. It would require considering the possibility that perhaps our democracy has already fallen, and now, the only hope is to steal it back and restore it.
But these are not easy answers.
I assert that it is foolish to believe that a regime like the Republican Party is willing to allow us to have free and fair elections in the future.
Seriously?!
Do you really think that the same people who are arresting judges and mayors are somehow above rigging elections?
You think the same sociopaths who laugh about putting innocent people into the worst prison on the planet are simply too democratic to even consider tampering with your right to vote?
You think the psycho who sits in the Oval Office, mocking heroes like Zelenskyy, and chuckling at sick jokes with a tyrant like Nayib Bukele, that turd, is going to respect your voting rights?
The one who repeated the Big Lie, over and over, a la Joseph Goebbels and Adolf Hitler… that one?
The one that incited the January 6th riot, and was refusing to leave the White House. That turd?
It Can’t Happen Here
People will say, “That’s ridiculous! Our democracy cannot fail!”
But consider what was recently said by one of the Yale professors who just permanently left the US because of her fears about the rise of fascism here.
She said (paraphrasing) that:
Everyone is saying, ‘Let’s just step back and take a breath. We have guardrails to protect us against these things.’
But we’re like people on the Titanic, insisting that our ship cannot possibly sink. But there’s no such thing as an unsinkable ship.
What Actually Works
Physical force is not only sometimes necessary, it’s FREQUENTLY necessary.
It’s the whole reason we have an Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and National Guard, plus a police force, FBI, CIA, DOD, CSS, DHS, SWAT, NSA, and all the other agencies.
If a person is interested in Successful Resistance, they will look over this diagram and decide where they fit into it.
They will save the image, begin studying something that we, everyday civilized civilians normally pay no attention to, the Art of War.
Because the enemy has already captured the capital, and they have no intention of stopping until they have ground you and I into the dirt.
“But It Doesn’t Make Sense!”
You tell yourself, “But this cannot be! They can’t possibly be that cruel, selfish, and willing to cheat!”
And you believe this precisely because you are a decent person.
But you will always be at the mercy of terrible people until you acknowledge the existence of terrible people.
You must do more than simply admit that they exist. You must admit to yourself that they are everywhere, even right here in the good old USA.
You must accept the harsh reality that they are willing to harm, threaten, imprison, and even kill you in order to get what they want.
Know Thy Enemy
And unless you’re willing to take the gloves off and get your hands dirty, unless you’re willing to spill blood in the defense of your family, community, your nation, your freedoms, and common decency, they WILL prevail.
They are already in the big chair in Washington.
You have to change your entire mindset. If you would defeat evil, then you must learn how evil operates.
And not every example of “fight fire with fire” is an oxymoron, nonsense argument.
Physical force is frequently the ONLY THING that will stop a violent person from harming others.
And physical force is sometimes DEADLY.
Again… But Why?!
Why would they do this?
Because they are hateful and greedy.
And THAT, my friend, is the ONLY easy answer that you’ll get about any of this mess.
Making memes has become a real problem for me. If I survive this fascist regime, I will need to seek help.
Chuck Schumer and other Democrats are foolishly laboring under the delusion that this is a presidential administration. Rather than being a run-of-the-mill administration, it is the textbook definition of a fascist regime.
Granted, they haven’t finished solidifying their position, but they are proceeding well within the necessary timeframe to finish the job.
Never in the history of the United States has a president or a political party held so many Americans in such daily fear. The orange stain and the Republican Party are nothing short of a terrorist organization.
The majority of Americans fear for their safety and the safety of their families and communities. As long as Republicans remain in power, there is no faith in the American dream.
Words like fairness, protection, law, and justice have lost all meaning. The Democratic Party is trying to play by rules that no longer exist.
It does not matter whether one is playing chess or checkers. Once your opponent knocks the board off the table, you are no longer engaged in chess or checkers.
The idea of turning the other cheek only applies when one person slaps you across the face. If you choose to overlook the offense, it might be noble or admirable.
However, when it is not just you, but an entire nation being assaulted, there’s nothing noble about overlooking the offense. When it is not merely a simple slap across the face, but rather attempted murder through systematic imprisonment and class warfare, there is nothing ethical about “playing the long game.”
For God’s sake, the time for war is not only here, it is now well behind us. Will none of you exert any true stewardship or courage?
Anyone within the Democratic Party who is still sane should stand up and take action.
The Founding Fathers are shaking their heads in disgust, scowling at you from beyond the grave.
It is time to talk about secession. But before you say, “That’s utterly ridiculous. That would raze this country to the ground,” ask yourself this:
Is there any part of American ideology that is not already under direct assault by the Republican Party?
Will you never wake up and realize that you are being mugged? Will it never dawn on you that your attacker has no intention of stopping?
A sane person, one not completely paralyzed by cowardice would choose to fight, rather than to surrender to an attacker who is already in the process of murdering them.
I am not speaking as the typical citizen who might mean well but has a poor grasp of history. Since grade school, I have studied the art of war and the rise and fall of empires. I didn’t do it for school credit; I learned about these things out of fascination.
When the Democrats began talking about Biden pulling out of the race, I scoured the history of American politics for any successful precedent of such a move. I found none.
Because I have no mouthpiece or political clout, I could not persuade anyone that it was a horrible idea. But it was, and I knew it. Still, Democrats are spoiled children, and they got what they asked for.
Even though we’ve never had a female President, and even though we already unsuccessfully attempted to run a woman against that disgusting orange stain the first time, we proceeded.
Harris would have made a fantastic President. Still, it was the most ridiculous decision that Democrats have ever made to switch candidates so late in the race. Wait. I take that back. It’s the second. The first is Schumer and other key Democrats supporting the budget resolution.
Because of the last few months, there is no longer the slightest inkling of doubt about the lengths to which Republicans are willing to go for complete authoritarian control.
I have been scrambling to find any historical precedent for removing a dictator from power without bloodshed or, at the very least, some serious behind-the-scenes coercion. I have found none.
The closest examples are:
Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines. However, the military refused to fire on civilians, enabling them to prevail. I do not know whether Americans would be so lucky.
Daniel Ortega and the Sandinistas. Yet, the exit came after the CIA supplied the Contra guerrillas for years. Even then, Ortega publicly stated that he intended to “rule from below” if possible.
South Korea was able to reverse its recent declaration of martial law only because the people of their congress were willing to scale the fences and face being shot by the military. I can’t even imagine our Congress officials doing anything like that.
One can find multiple “sources” that paint other regimes as ending peacefully, but they’re naive accounts. For example, I encountered an article that claimed Pinochet left power willingly. This retelling of events conveniently ignores such a staggering number of critical details that there is no time to get into it. Suffice it to say that these two I’ve mentioned are as close as it gets.
The Supreme Court is a toothless guard dog with no power to enforce its rulings. The US Marshals are under the control of the Executive Branch.
The Republicans hold the majority in both houses of Congress.
They pulled the Alien Enemies Act card within the first hundred days.
DOGE’s tampering with governmental software screams the setting up of fixing future elections. The bloodcurdling scream is loud enough for the people to hear it. So, why don’t you?
In 2020, the orange thing swore that the election would be fake unless we had all paper ballots and no mail-in ballots. Suddenly, in 2024, it was all excited about Elon Musk’s computer savvy and these “great new voting machines.”
Has no one in the Democratic Party ever played poker before? Are none of you familiar with the concept of a “tell?” The 2024 election was probably the first rigged election in American history. Yet it will not serve us to speak of this because we went to such great lengths to clarify that the 2020 election was secure.
We can’t discuss the likelihood of a stolen election; this would only bring scorn and mockery. It would achieve nothing without smoking gun evidence, evidence which I seriously doubt anyone possesses. Therefore, we must (as golfers say) “play the ball where it lies.” We must move forward from here.
Steve Bannon’s remark about “muzzle velocity” best summarizes the goal of all this chaos.
They are putting so much stress on the American people in such a short time that it’s clear what the goal is:
Incite riots in the streets and then invoke the Insurrection Act. The saber-rattling against China, Panama, Denmark, Greenland, Canada, and Mexico is an obvious sign of the intention to wage war solely to invoke martial law and suspend elections.
The Mueller Report and the January 6th Committee were correct. The orange stain technically forfeited the right to run again; the Constitution forbids it. Yet Democrats failed to enforce this.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is but one of many who have been illegally sent to what we all know are essentially death camps.
Robert King was arrested for no crime. He spoke the obvious truth, but no one is talking about him.
You have allowed them to destroy Medicaid and attack Medicare and Social Security. How many planes have they crashed? There is no time to list the roster of human rights violations and financial catastrophes; we’d be here all night.
The oligarchs are waging class warfare against us.
We, the American people, do not expect you, the Democrats, to do much of anything. It is evident to us that you all lack the fortitude, conviction, courage, and backbone to stand up and do the job that needs doing.
However, you can at least admit that we will never have peace with the ruthless mad dogs of the Republican Party.
Secede from the Union, for God’s sake.
At least you would be giving us a fighting chance. I can assure you of this: Many Americans will begin acting on their own volition in the spirit of our forefathers, who, unlike yourselves, absolutely refused to bow to a tyrant.
You are already at war; you cannot escape your incompetence long enough to accept that harsh reality.
I don’t expect you to recall that Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge was a mere 50 years ago and that it resulted in the death of more than one and a half million Cambodians.
Nor do I expect you to recollect that their targets were the same as the modern-day Republican Party those such as journalists, political enemies (such as yourselves), teachers, artists, those who spoke multiple languages, engineers, etc.
However, I do expect you to be able to understand that the rule of law is gone. You must know that no one in Washington, DC, is following the Constitution anymore. You would be incapable of having gotten yourselves elected in the first place if you didn’t at least grasp that much.
We, the people, require wartime consiglieres.
You owe us that much. Step aside and allow someone up to the task to do the job. We could literally roll the dice and do better than what the Democratic Party has given us.
We will begin to act on our own orders.
This inevitability is apparent from the murmuring of the streets. You would be wise to understand that you will do better if you are in control of the Resistance. It’s much more difficult to control the chaos of a military rebellion when you are not communicating with the generals because they are merely citizens acting out of their own capacity.
Do you want to orchestrate a second Civil War?
Or would you rather have a modern-day Weather Underground scenario to the power of ten?
There is no third choice.
I have one ear to the ground and one to the wind. It is clear to me that the people of this great nation will not much longer stomach your fearful inaction and bellyaching.
It’s time for secession. If you don’t proceed now, you will soon be unable to do anything. Our citizens will not even be able to flee the country safely.
